The menu at Chef’s Garden

story telling through food

The story behind every menu

We love to tell stories of culture, history and hope through food. It is our desire that the actions that we are responsible for bring dignity to all aspects of the food industry. Dignity to those that supply our ingredients and those that are part of our team. Dignity to those that are in and around our community and need a helping hand. Finally, dignity for our customers. Excellence in our food, service and ambiance are just ingredients in the recipe for human connection. We want to create the conditions where at the end of dinner you feel closer than when you first arrived. At Chef’s Garden we love to curate unique experiences that leave lasting memories.

Kaiseki style tasting menu

At Chef’s Garden we develop a tasting menu that is aimed to surpass expectations. Over the years we have and continue to perfect the menu experience. We implement the style of a Kaiser menu. Kaiser is the traditional multi-course dinner that was developed in Japan. In Kaiser style menus, enfaces is put on local and seasonal ingredients. It usually involves a soup, vegetable dishes and a protein. Each course ties into the subsequent course and all of the dishes are served before the ceremonial tea. This is a style that we love because it gives purpose and meaning to each ingredient.

The 5-elements to every plate design

There is a structure that the chef follows during the creative process of each plate which include:

1) Balance of flavors - acid, sweet, bitter, sour, umami, spice

2) Textures of the ingredientes such as crunchy, soft, buttery, airy

3) Colors of ingredients used on the plate

4) positioning on the plate and order of ingredients

5) Logistics of how customer will each the ingredients together

Tasting Menu ($69/person)

Our tasting menu usually includes 5 to 6 courses and is served for two weeks. We have one sitting per night and the guest can choose to dine at 6pm or 7pm. The chef changes the tasting menu every two weeks and never repeats a menu or dish with the hope of always exhibiting something new. The tasting menu is included with ceremonial tea from our gardens, water and juice. The week of your reservation we will send you the menu for that week via email or text. We are waiting for our liquor license and in the mean time we encourage customers to bring their own wine for a corking fee.
